How to import citations from the Mount Allison University Library Catalogue:

  1. Execute your searches in the Library Catalogue.
  2. Check the “KEEP” box beside the record to create a “KEPT” list.
  3. When finished, click the “KEPT” link to open the list.
  4. Change “VIEW of RECORDS”  to “FULL.
  5. Click “VIEW.
  6. Disregard any warning that may appear.
  7. On the browser tool bar click “EDIT” and “SELECT ALL.
  8. On the browser tool bar click “EDIT” and “COPY.
  9. Open REFWORKS.
  10. Click “REFERENCES” and “IMPORT.
  11. Set import filter to “SIRSI Library Software.
  12. Set database to “Mount Allison University.
  13. Click “FROM TEXT.”
  14. Put cursor in text box. On the browser tool bar, click “EDIT” and “PASTE” to paste the “KEPT” file copied in Step 8.
  15. Click “IMPORT.
  16. Records will be loaded into the LAST IMPORTED FOLDER.
  17. Open the LAST IMPORTED FOLDER  and transfer records to another folder to prevent them from being overwritten during the next import.

To ensure that your bibliographies are properly formatted, check to be sure that all relevant fields (title, author, etc.) were imported correctly.
