The NYTimes.com archive offers free access to most theater reviews published since 1996. Reviews of other selected shows dating back to 1905 are also available. It is possible to browse by show title, year and critic in the archive section (scroll down to lower right of page) or to find both reviews and other articles by entering the play or playwright in the search box at the top right of the page (also click the button that says theater).
