The Mississippi Writers Page

Geoffrey Chaucer
Site of Harvard University's Chaucer classes. Provides "a wide range of glossed Middle English texts and translations of analogues relevant to Chaucer's works, as well as selections from relevant works by earlier and later writers, critical articles from a variety of perspectives, graphics, and general information on life in the Middle Ages." Focus is largely on the Canterbury Tales.

Shakespeare

Canadian Adaptiations of Shakespeare
Explores and documents "the ways in which Shakespeare has been adapted into a national, multicultural theatrical practice." Includes information on Canadiana, Canadian theatre, Shakespeare, as well as essays, interviews, bibliographies, links and more.

Internet Shakespeare Editions
A nice source of Shakespeare's works, both page images and searchable text. There is also some secondary material, but really the best part about this site is the texts. Note that the database of Shakespeare in Performance does not include a lot of important work, such as the productions at the Stratford Festival of Canada. World Shakespeare Bibliography Online (restricted to Mount Allison users and available here) is a better source for both secondary material and for production information.

Hamletworks.org
Based on the materials of the MLA's Variorum Hamlet Project: the site is intended "to complement the eventual print edition of the New Variorum Hamlet and vice versa." Includes Hamlet editions from the First Quarto, Second Quarto, First Players' Quarto and First Folio; textual notes; line-by-line commentary from the 18th - 20th centuries, and more. A work in progress.
