ADMINISTRATIVE HISTORY/BIOGRAPHICAL SKETCH:
Activities which began as early as 1972 through Mount Allison University Extension Department classes, Owens Art Gallery and New Brunswick Community College led to the formal organization of the Sackville Community Arts Council in 1978. It organized exhibitions, art programs and workshops for children and adults. A community focused gallery, studio and teaching facility was established as the Community Arts Center in an unused school in Middle Sackville, New Brunswick. This organization ceased operations about 1985-1986.
