What is Community Outreach?
Community Outreach is a program designed to further immerse the MASSIE students into the local community. Through this program, students volunteer at various local schools, businesses, community groups and organizations in order to apply in a more practical setting that which they have studied in the classroom. If you'd like more information about the aims of Community Outreach and getting involved as a sponsor, please view the Community Outreach Information Letter.

The results of the interaction between the community and the students is reciprocal. The students receive an opportunity to interact with a greater range of people from the community while being exposed to a new learning environment. The sponsors in turn benefit from increased exposure among students while having the workplace internationalized in the process.

In addition, the students also offer free, in-home Japanese cooking lessons.

How can I get involved?
If you are a member of a local school, business, community group or organization and would like to be involved, please complete and return the - Community Outreach Sponsor Response Form - and return it the MASSIE Office.
