Former Monitor - Summer 2004 My name is Amanda Diggins and I have just completed my second year at Mount A. I am in a Bachelor of Arts degree double majoring in Religious Studies and Psychology and I originally come from Trenton, Nova Scotia. I am very excited to be a monitor with the MASSIE program this summer. I have been a tutor in the past and plan to continue to be involved with the program in the future. Former Monitor - Summer 2004 Hi, my name is Chen and I'm a 3rd year student seeking a degree in bachelor of science. I'm currently double majoring in biochemistry and economics. I'm from Bedford, Nova Scotia and enjoy talking, biking and playing badminton for leisure. I was involved with the MASSIE program both as a roommate and a tutor in 2003. Former Monitor - Summer 2004 My name is Charlotte and I have been at Mount A for three years. I enjoy windsurfing, running, swimming, shopping, and travel. I am a Classics Major mostly studying archaeology with a Minor in History. This summer I will be waitressing and bartending in Sackville and I may also work in a summer camp. On my days off I will go to the beach nearby, and visit friends in Moncton and Fredericton (my family is from Fredericton). I'm very excited to meet all of the new MASSIE students! |

Hi! My Name is Tiffany Gallant, though my friends often call me Mika,
so feel free to use whichever name you like! :) I am a third-year student
here and Mount Allison, taking a Bachelor of Arts which, at the moment,
consists of three minors: English, Japanese and Psychology. I am super
excited to be working as a Monitor for the summer MASSIE program!! I have
been a roommate, tutor and friend to various MASSIE students over the
past two years, and I'm sure this summer will be one to remember! Some
of my hobbies are drawing, listening to many types of music, and Karate.
My home is in Souris, Prince Edward Island, so in the summer I like to
spend alot of time swimming or at the beach! If your want to chat, please

Former Monitor - Summer 2005 Stephanie Jackson Hi everyone! My name is Stephanie Jackson and I have been studying Biochemistry at Mount Allison for three years. I have been a MASSIE tutor and roommate in the past, and have very much enjoyed the experience. I will be in Sackville all summer to do research at a lab, work as a bartender, study, and and most importantly: live with you guys (I'll be in Carriage house, if you don't live there, come and visit)! I am originally from Halifax, Nova Scotia, where you will get to go on a weekend trip. It's a very nice city with good shopping and exciting night life. I enjoy watching movies, surfing, shopping, travelling, spending time with friends, and sometimes skydiving. On my days off I plan to visit with friends in Sackville, Moncton, and Halifax, play tennis, and go to the beach. I can't wait to meet you all - this summer is going to be so much fun! | Former Monitor - Summer 2005 Samantha Read Hey guys! My name is Samantha Read, but you can call me Sam. I am super excited for everyone to come this summer, it's going to be great! I am from Newfoundland, an island near Nova Scotia. I am currently in my second year here at Mount Allison, where I am doing a Bachelor of Arts with a double major in International Relations and French. I am staying this summer to work at the pool as a lifeguard, and maybe at the new fitness centre as well. I have no previous experience with the MASSIE program, but I'm sure that will be fine and we'll all get along great! | Monitor - Summer 2006 My name is Alana and I'm going into my 3rd year as a modern languages major. I study french, spanish, and japanese. I work at the campus bookstore (Fawcett Building) on weekdays, but in my spare time I like to ride my bike, draw, read, and play the flute. I also love the bridgestreet cafe! I got involved with MASSIE in the fall of 2005, when I was fortunate enough to have a wonderful MASSIE conversation partner! I am really looking forward to getting to know all of the MASSIES this year, and I hope that we can learn a lot from each other. Above all, I hope that we have lots of fun together!!

Monitor - Summer 2006 Nico Dube - nidube@mta.ca My name is Nico and I'm going into my second year in sciences at Mount Allison University. Although I'm in sciences, I hope to minor in languages and I speak English, French, Spanish, and some German. I love the outdoors, playing and listening to all sorts of music, volunteering with different groups, and having long conversations. I'm somewhat athletic and my favourite sports include tennis, volleyball, (ultimate) frisbee, running, and soccer. Finally, I think Sackville is a wonderful place I hope to see you here some day!

Monitor - Summer 2006 Hello, my name is Steve Murray. All of my friends tell me that the MASSIE program is a lot of fun, so when I was asked to be a monitor, I couldn't resist! I have just completed a bachelor of science in mathematics, and this summer, I will also be doing research in environmental science. I am looking forward to travelling, playing sports, making music, cooking and spending time with all of you, while we learn more about each other's cultures. |
| Monitor - Summer 2006 Hello! My name is Vera Ranieri, and after completing my degree in mathematics this year, I just couldn't resist staying in Sackville this summer and being a MASSIE monitor. I hope that I will learn just as much from the MASSIE students as they (hopefully!) will learn from me. Along with being a monitor, I am also working for the computer science department, and can usually be found there during the day frowning at my computer screen. I do enjoy lots of other things, like travelling, reading, politics, and any sort of adventure! I hope to have some this summer! |

Hi! My name is Claire Kelly and I'm going into my third year at Mount Allison. I am a Psychology major and an English minor, with the intentions of being an ESL (English as a Second Language) teacher as soon as I'm done. Monitor - Summer 2007 - Vivien Nguyen I am Vivien from Hanoi, Vietnam. I am going to my third year with (hopefully) an Honors in Mathematics and a minor in Applied physics. Monitor - Summer 2009 - Rob Davis Hey everyone! I’m from Moncton, New Brunswick which is about 45 minutes from Sackville by car. I was involved in the MASSIE program back in 2006 as a conversation partner. After that I spent a year at KGU as an exchange student! I think I’m a little old for you to remember my face but when you get here you can all call me Rob-senpai (冗談). I'll be graduating this year with a major in Japanese studies.
