Travelling to Mount Allison

New Brunswick, just a few kilometres from the Nova Scotia border.

Road
Travel
Sackville is skirted by the Trans Canada Highway, which in the
surrounding region is four-lane expressway. Here is a map of Sackville

There are two exits from the Trans-Canada Highway into Sackville.
- Exit 504 -- the exit closer to Moncton --leads more directly
to Mount Allison. This exit puts you on Main Street.
- After about 1/2 km you will come to the corner of the campus,
where the road forks.
- Bear left, and the Music Conservatory is the third building
on your right, just before the swan pond.
- Exit 506 -- the exit closer to Nova Scotia -- puts you on Bridge
Street
- Continue on Bridge until you are downtown.
- At the traffic lights, turn right onto Main Street. The
road soon curves to the left. The Music Conservatory is
the first building on your left, just after the swan pond.

Sackville is about twenty-five minutes drive from Moncton
Airport, which is served by Air
Canada and Westjet, and Continental Airlines.
Avis (1-800-272-5871),
Budget (1-800-268-8900), Hertz (1-800-263-0600),
and National (1-800-227-7368), all have car rental offices at Moncton
airport. Thrifty and Enterprise (506-536-1557, 506-536-1301) have car
rental facilities in Sackville.

Sackville is about two hours drive from Halifax
International Airport.
Bus
Travel
Sackville is served by SMT Bus Lines;
schedule and fare information may be found at their Web site or by calling
1-800-567-5151. In Sackville the bus station is right at the edge of
Mount Allison's campus.
SMT bus connections from Moncton Airport to Sackville are not convenient. SMT
does have three buses per day going from Halifax Airport to Sackville.
Rail
Travel
Sackville has Via Rail passenger
service; one westbound and one eastbound train a day arrive in our town.
The train station is just a few minutes from the University.
Accommodation
When you come for your audition, we shall try to arrange overnight accommodation
if you require it. In addition to the possibility of your staying with
a student in residence, the Sackville area has a number of motels and
bed & breakfast houses.
