Pep Band

The MTA Pep Band serves as an ambassador for school spirit at selected Mount Allison sports games, promoting enthusiasm through music. The band consists of woodwinds, brass, and a rhythm section (drum line, electric bass, and electric guitar). In some cases the band may be able to provide an instrument.

While there is a faculty Advisor, the Pep Band has a student director and functions as a student club. Members do not have to audition and no credit is awarded, but if you are considering joining please contact James Kalyn (506) 364-2382, jkalyn@mta.ca in order to get acquainted. Students who are in Pep Band are encouraged to participate in another instrumental ensemble, such as Symphonic Band or Jazz Ensemble. Auditions are required for these other ensembles. Pep Band meets Monday nights as needed, 7:30 pm, MYBC Room 004 (Band Room).
