Final Fantasy comes to Sackville, Nov. 17
2006-11-15 08:43:02
Juno-winning singer-songwriter Julie Doiron will open the show at George’s Roadhouse. Doiron is “the undisputed underground darling of Canadian music.” Her charming, minimal compositions have won hearts worldwide. She also once played bass for local cult legends Eric’s Trip and her vocals can be found on albums from the Wooden Stars, Gordon Downie, Hayden, and more. This show marks Julie’s fresh return from tour; expect a full slate of songs off her impending full-length due out in the spring.
This is the only Maritime stop for Final Fantasy outside of Halifax and promises to be an excellent show. Tickets will be available at Ducky’s Pub for $12. Out-of-towners can reserve tickets with a credit card by phoning Ducky’s, tel: 506 536-1344.
The concert is presented by Remarkably Enthusiastic Productions in conjunction with the Centre for Canadian Studies at Mount Allison University and CHMA Radio. George’s Roadhouse is located at 67 Lorne St.
