The Heritage Branch of the New Brunswick government department of Wellness, Culture and Sport, has operated a Fine Art Conservation Program since April 2002. It offers a subsidized rate to eligible partners for conservation services in areas of canvas and panel paintings, murals, polychrome sculpture and fine art on paper.

Restoration treatments are performed according to the highest standards of competence, as outlined in the Code of Ethics and Guidance for Practice by the Canadian Association of Professional Conservators and the Canadian Association for Conservation.
