Gemey Kelly

Gemey has been the Director/Curator of the Owens Art Gallery since 1989. She was a cheerleader in high school although she had a terrible time doing the star jump.

She was formerly the Curator at the Dalhousie Art Gallery, and studied fine art at the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design in Halifax.

This year she is the Atlantic Juror for the Sobey Award, one of Canada’s most generous and prestigious awards for young artists.
