EDITOR’S NOTE A note from the Alumni Board President I Sean Connors (’81) President, Mount Allison Alumni Board n the past two editions of the Record, we have given you a sneak peek into what will be housed on the new alumni website to be launched this fall. One of the improvements to the website will be its functionality. You will be able to find information with greater ease. For instance the section under “Get Informed” will contain everything you need to know about your alumni board. The new website will contain photos and biographies of your board representatives. Their contact information will also be readily available, if you wish to communicate with them directly. We will also have information on our Board of Regent and Senate representatives. The website will also contain the terms of references for all eight of the alumni board sub-committees. This will give Allisonians a better idea of how the board functions and its ongoing work. You will be able to find reports on our three regular meetings, along with minutes from the annual general meeting. This will enable alumni to stay informed about the activities of the board. Finally, job descriptions for both the executive and directors will be available, along with a nomination form for the board. If you would like to nominate someone you believe would be a great board director, this feature will make that process very easy. Our new website will make “getting informed” about your board much easier. /1
