Eleanor Stacey ('97)
has been appointed
as executive director of the Greater Vancouver
Professional Theatre Alliance (GVPTA), an as-
sociation of more than 100 theatre companies
and individual members who promote live
theatre and foster a thriving environment for
the continued growth and development of
theatre. Eleanor has been a fund raiser and arts
administrator in theatre organizations in the
United States and Caribbean and since 2005
has been the director of development at the
Vancouver East Cultural Centre (The Cultch).
After over a decade in many roles at NBTel/Bell
Aliant in both NB and NS,

has moved to Ottawa for the great opportu-
nity of being press secretary to the Minister of
Human Resources and Skills Development.

where Brendan is stationed with the 2 Combat

Canadian Art at The Rooms in St. John's, NL.
She will be co-curating a nationally touring
solo exhibition of work by Mount Allison

successfully defended his PhD
in chemistry (inorganic) from the University
of Alberta this fall. He has been awarded a
research fellowship and will travel to Tokyo,
Japan to conduct research under the super-
vision of catalysis expert Prof. Sanshiro Komiya
as a JSPS/NSERC postdoctoral fellow.
successfully defended his PhD in
physics from University of Oxford in Aug. '11.
He is currently a strategy consultant at Boston
Consulting Group's Toronto office.
