Class Notes 1950s Margaret (Norrie) McCain (’54, LLD ’95) was recently named a Companion to the Order of Canada. Jennifer (Prosser) Wade (’58) is the 2014 recipient of the BC Civil Liberties Association’s Reg Robson Award for exceptional contributions to the field of human rights and civil liberties in BC and Canada. In 2012 she received the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee Medal and was nominated for the Vancouver YWCA Women of Distinction Award in 2011. Wade also holds an honorary degree from University of New Brunswick (1996) and received the United Nations Association Renate Shearer Award in 1994 for an outstanding contribution to international human rights. for some doubles tennis in the resort community of Sun City Shadow Hills where the Youngs spend their winters. On Oct. 5, 2014, retired judge Clyde F. Macdonald (’64) of New Glasgow, NS launched his latest book Stories From Pictou County’s Past. This is the 11th book he has self-published on historical events and people in Pictou County, NS. Two hundred and thirty people attended the launch held at Glasgow Square Theatre in New Glasgow. 1960s Robert Winsor (’60, LLD ’06) received an honorary degree from McGill University in October 2014. Forty-nine years later, four former Allisonians met up this past spring near Palm Desert, CA.
