Step 1: Course Selection

The following tools can help when choosing your courses:

Academic Timetables
Lists all courses being offered this year (date, time, instructor, location)

Courses Without Pre-requisites

Placement Test?
• Write the online French Placement Test or find information on the Math test.
Degree Audit Forms
• Complete this form to make sure you meet the requirements for you major/minor.
Mapping Your Degree
• Guides for course selection in each degree program.
Academic Advising

• Faculty advising is available to first year students by referral from the Academic Advisor.

• Once decided on a Major or Minor, students should consult with the appropriate Program Advisor.

• The Academic Advisor in the Registrar’s Office, Sarah Kardash, is available to assist students in all programs, and years of study (advisor@mta.ca ; 364-3200).

Need permission?
• If you require departmental permission please contact the Department Head or, in the case of special topics courses, the course instructor. You can find contact information in the MTA phonebook

• If permission is granted, you will be manually registered by RegHelp staff

Dean’s permission request form:
Complete this form if you need to make changes to your registration after the add/drop deadline or require special accommodation.
