Meredith Karcz

Senior Residence Assistant

Hey lovely future people of Bigelow...

I can’t wait to meet you guys! This upcoming year is going to be awesome because you chose the best undergraduate university in Canada, and you are going to be living in the best residence on campus! I am your senior Residence Assistant for the upcoming year, and I’ll be on second floor. A little about me... I am from Ontario, I’m a twin, I am in science but hope to minor in english, I’m vegetarian and I play guitar! My main passion lies in social justice, and I’m in a couple different clubs here at Mount A. I hope you all have a wonderful summer and look forward to welcoming you all into the Biggie family this fall! Residence Assistant

Sam Brown
Residence Assistant

Residence assistant I…I love lamp.

(Editor's note: Sam is a kindly young fellow with a big heart and an even bigger mouth. Just kidding. But he is really kind and he loves to tuck people into bed at night and kiss them gently on the forehead after singing them lullabies. Even if you don't ask for any of this! Even if you lock your door! He somehow always finds a way in…)

Chihiro Muranaka
Residence Assistant

Hello!

My name is Chihiro and I am going to be your RA of the first floor for the upcoming year. I am a second year student majoring in Modern Languages and I am also an international student from Japan/New Zealand. I am very excited to meet you all. I hope we'll make it a good one together. Cheers! Residence assistant

Kelsey Jones
Residence Assistant

Hey there!

I’m Kelsey Jones, and this year I will be your basement RA! I am so excited to get to know all of you wonderful future-Bigelowians! I am from Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, and I am currently hoping to double major in Biology and Drama Studies.

I love music, trying new things, acting, coffee, friends, drawing and animals. I have a beautiful dog named Rex, and you will definitely hear me talking about him from time to time! In first year, I tried a lot of new things, like joining a synchronized swimming team, a bilingual theatre group (Tintamarre!), and Humans Versus Zombies (and I was a pretty great zombie during that week),and by joining different groups on campus, I got to know so many amazing people, so I definitely recommend trying as many new things as you can when you come to Mount A. Bigelow is an amazing place to live, and you will see just how quickly it becomes your home away from home.

I love to talk, so if you ever want to talk about anything at all, come on down to my room. If you want to start talking about anything before school starts, you can contact me at kvjones@mta.ca. I will see you in the fall, and I cannotwait to meet you!

Jamie Fleming
Academic Mentor

Hey, I’m Jamie, your Academic Mentor for 2013-2014. As AcMen, I’m here to basically keep you all organised.

I’m the one to go to if you need a tutor, don’t know how to study, or find out that you have four essays all due in the next two weeks (been there, not fun!). If you have any school- or class-related concerns, come talk to me!

I’m a second year English major and Classics minor, from Ottawa, Ontario. My room is always full of books and novels, and I’m the kind of person who doodles all over my class notes. If your room is near mine and you hear guitar sounds, that’s probably me. I also love to write fiction, and I hope to publish novels someday – if I can find the time to write them.

If you want to chat, my e-mail is jafleming@mta.ca. Don’t hesitate to say hi, I’d love to hear from you. I’m so excited to meet my new dormmates this fall! See you in August!
