(3rd West)

Hey all you future Harperites!

My name is D'Arcy Blunston and I'm the 3 rd West RA for the 2013-2014 year! I'm from Grand Falls, New Brunswick and I am heading into my second year at Mount A in the Bachelor of Music program, majoring in voice.

I love jogging and going to lap swim so if anyone wants an exercise buddy, I'm available! I also enjoy going for walks through Waterfowl Park and venturing to Bridge Street for some food with friends. I love reading (when I'm not reading a textbook), watching movies to kill time, and all things music!

The best part about choosing a school like Mount A is the tight knit community that you are about to become a part of. And within the community of Mount A is our little residence community, Harper Hall. My favorite thing about Harper would definitely have to be the spirit. There is so much school and house spirit in Harper that, admittedly, it can be a little overwhelming at first. But you'll find that at some point, everyone just learns to embrace the spirit and craziness that is Harper Hall.

Time for some tips! Two words: get involved! Whether you're getting involved within Harper, or in one of Mount A's many clubs and societies, there's something out there for everyone! Getting involved is a chance to put yourself out there, try something new, and make friends with the same interests as you. Getting involved in the Mount Allison community is always a rewarding experience! Don't try and take on too much from the get go though. Only take on what you think you can handle! No one expects you to dive into university headfirst. Baby steps!

There is so much to look forward to next year so don't be too nervous about it! The superb RA team and wonderful house Exec are here to help you through it all! Lots of exploring the little town of Sackville, new friends that become family, and Harper Hall spirit (black and yellow, black and yellow!) ahead! Get ready for a whirlwind ride next year!

Lots of Harper Love! :)

D'Arcy
