Mount Allison University is located in Sackville, New Brunswick, at the geographical centre of Canada's Maritime provinces. Sackville lies at the edge of the famous Tantramar Marshes, in an area first settled over 200 years ago.

Air Travel / Car Rental / Taxis

Canadian Airlines and Canada 3000 Airlines also fly to Moncton Airport.

Sackville is about twenty-five minutes drive from Moncton Airport. Avis (1-800-879-2847), Budget (1-800-268-8900), Hertz (1-800-263-0600), and National Tilden (1-800-387-4747), all have car rental offices at Moncton airport. Hertz and Byways (1-800-668-4233, 506-536-1557) have car rental facilities in Sackville.

Taxis from Moncton airport to Sackville cost $32 to $40 (Sackville taxis) or $40 to $45 (Moncton taxis).
At times when most STLHE delegates will be arriving at Moncton Airport there will be a STLHE '98 representative there who will greet participants, answer questions, and help coordinate the sharing of taxis. However, no matter when you arrive there are taxis which will take you to Sackville.

Road Travel
Sackville is skirted by the Trans Canada Highway, which in most of the surrounding region is four-lane expressway (speed limit 110 km/h).
Sackville also lies at one end of the Fundy Coastal Drive, one of New Brunswick's scenic drives.
Parking at the University and elsewhere in town is free and presents no problem in the summer.

Bus Travel
Sackville is served by SMT Bus Lines; schedule and fare information may be found at their Web site or by calling 1-800-567-5151. In Sackville the bus station is right at the edge of Mount Allison's campus.
SMT bus connections from Moncton Airport to Sackville are not convenient. SMT does have three buses per day going from Halifax Airport to Sackville.

Rail Travel
Sackville has Via Rail passenger service; one westbound and one eastbound train a day arrive in our town. The train station is just a few minutes from the University.
