Extending Your Stay
Working in Canada After Graduation
If you choose to stay in Canada to work you must make sure that you have
applied for your Post
Graduation Work Permit BEFORE your study permit expires. Do not
start working until it arrives.
Travel or Volunteering Abroad
Traveling or volunteering abroad after graduation has become increasingly
popular with recent graduates, especially if you are taking time off before
you start working or before you go to grad school. If you choose to spend
some time travelling before you return to Canada, it is advisable that
you ensure that all your immigration documents are up to date before you
leave the country.
