Fall 2012 Orientation will take place between Monday August 27th and Thursday
August 30th.
Please plan to arrive on Monday August 27th.
International students will be able to move into residence from Monday August 27th onwards. Arrival/pick-up service is available from the Moncton International Airport (YQM), the Sackville train station, and the Sackville bus depot on August 27th. Limited pick-up service is available on August 28th and 29th. If you would like to sign up for this service please click here.
What you can expect at International Orientation
We have a number of activities planned for you over the three days which include:
Check in fair
You’ll obtain your International Orientation welcome pack, set up
your bank account and receive your room keys and campus card. You’ll
also be able to pay your tuition fees and meet the International Advisor.
Campus and Community Tours
The orientation facilitators will show you around your new home on campus
and downtown Sackville. Wear comfortable shoes and bring some sunscreen.
Parent Information Sessions
Parents will have the opportunity to ask questions about any concerns they
may have.
Immigration Info
Learn more about your immigration documents and find out if you’re
eligible to work in Canada.
Health and Wellness
The Wellness Centre staff will talk to you about getting medical services
in Canada, as well as how to maintain a healthy mind and body throughout
the school year.
Canadian Winter Survival
The facilitators will teach you how to beat the Canadian winter and how
best to survive the cold in New Brunswick.
Academic Advising
The Academic Advisor will help you understand Mt.A’s academic system.
Registration Help
Staff from the Registrar’s Office will help you sign up for courses
and answer any questions you may have about the registration process.
Library Info Sessions
The library staff will show you around the R.P. Bell Library and teach you
how to source information from the library’s collections.
Field Trips, social activities and shopping trips
Make sure you take time to attend our social activities. This will provide
you with the opportunity to relax and meet new friends.
