ISIC card
The ISIC is the only internationally recognized proof of full-time
student status providing worldwide photo identification for student travelers.
It allows you to plug into a worldwide network of discounts, services and
other benefits. Mount Allison Students find the ISIC card especially useful
for plane and train discounts.
To find out more information about the ISIC card and/or to apply for your
ISIC card visit the SAC office on the first floor of the Wallace McCain
Student Center during our regular office hours or you can go to www.isic.org
for more information as well. Please allow one day for processing before
you can pick up the finished card.
The cost for an ISIC card is $16.00 and you must supply a photo (not a photocopy)
and your student ID. To Purchase your ISIC card, stop by the SAC Office
on the first floor of the Student Centre.
Driver’s License
If you have a driver’s license from your home country, you may be
allowed to convert your license. Please contact Service New Brunswick at
1 (888) 762 8600. For driver’s tests, you can dial (506) 856 2002.
If you do not have a license from your home country, you will need to enroll
in a driver training program. Contact Tantramarsh Driving School at (506)
536 9887.
Getting a Cell Phone
You must be 19 or over to sign a contract for a cellular phone. There are
three main cell phone companies in New Brunswick: Bell Aliant, Telus Mobility,
and Rogers Wireless. You will need proof of identification and a Canadian
address in order to purchase a cell phone. Some cell phone companies will
require a credit check before you sign a contract. To purchase a cell phone,
visit the Bell Aliant store in Sackville at 100 Main Street, or the Champlain
Mall in Dieppe, NB
