Mount Allison recognizes the unique challenges that international students face in making a successful transition to academic life at Mount Allison. For some, language is the biggest obstacle; for others, it’s learning to understand and work within the parameters of a different academic culture. The International Centre has programs set in place in order to help international students make a smooth transition into the Canadian academic system.

Academic Success Program

The International Centre also provides services to international students whose academic assessments indicate that they had academic difficulty with their courses during the term and have a CGPA of 1.7 or below. We do this by providing academic guidance and support to students who are academically at-risk. This support comes in the form of academic workshops and one-on-one tutoring for students who sign up for the program.
