Can I work in Canada?

If you are registered as a fulltime student and you have Study Permit that is valid for 6 months or more you are eligible to work. Exchange students are not eligible to work. There are three types of work permits for students:

You can work on campus for up to 19 hours a week without a work permit. You can work for up to 20 hours a week off campus if you have an Off Campus Work Permit. For instructions on how to obtain an Off Campus Work Permit please look at the section “Working off Campus.”
