This is a highly selective program. Preference will be given to students who have completed grade 11 science courses. Sample Research
Opportunities from the previous year You will receive safety training according to the lab environment(s) in which you will work. While you will spend most of the week in research activities with your group, you will also have an opportunity to tour other research labs at Mount Allison, explore science in the surrounding area, interact with students in the other Go Global groups, and make use of fitness and athletic facilities at Mount Allison. Age Group: This experience is designed for high school students in grade 11 with a keen interest science. Senior Mount Allison students will monitor residence life and will provide teaching and research leadership and assistance. The faculty coordinator is Dr. Bob Hawkes, Department of Physics and Dr. Khashayar Ghandi, Department of Chemistry at Mount Allison. This program is partially sponsored by NSERC CRYSTAL Atlantique, as well as Mount Allison University. To Apply: Please fill in the application form. Those with financial need or having to travel longer distances to attend Go Global can apply for Go Global: Science Research bursary to cover up to $500 of the cost of the program.
