Web Design
Web design of this virtual exhibit, Three Cheers for Old Mount A!, was carried out by Kip Jackson, Archives Project Worker, Mount Allison University Archives, and was coded directly using HTML and CSS. The website banner was created by Jill Arsenault from a montage of images presented in this virtual exhibit.
To accommodate faster download times and consistent viewing dimensions, all images were converted to JPEG format and reduced to the following sizes: landscape, 720 pixels (width); portrait, 640 pixels (height). Thumbnail images were also created for quick viewing in the text and gallery displays. The image reduction process was performed using the open-source software IrfanView, version 3.95.
