Marie Hammond
Callaghan
(PhD, National University of Ireland, Dublin) is an assistant professor in the
women’s studies programme and the history department at Mount Allison University,
Sackville, New Brunswick. Her main research interests lie in women’s peace
movement history in 20th century Canada and Europe, as well as gender scholarship
on militarism. To date she has published several scholarly articles on women’s
peace activism in the North of Ireland and Canada during the 1970s. She is co-editor
of Mobilizations, Protests and Engagements: Canadian Perspectives on Social Movements
(Halifax: Fernwood Press, 2008).
