I am interested in active learning styles of instruction. At Mount Allison we have converted many of our courses to an experiential style of instruction in which the lecture component is reduced and students work through hands-on activities to learn the key concepts. This year (2001-2002) I am teaching Physics 1001 (Astronomy), Physics 3351 (Digital Electronics), Physics 1551 (General Physics II) and Physics 4701 (Relativity). Courses Taught (Mt. Allison): Physics 1001 (Astronomy), Physics 1011, 1022 (algebra based introd.), Physics 1051 (algebra based intro. mechanics, light, sound, heat, circuits, fluids), Physics 1551 (calculus based SHM, electromagnetism, relativity), Physics 2251 (Classical Waves), Physics 2701 (Mechanics), Physics 3001 (Astrophysics), Physics 3101 (Elec. & Magnetism), Physics 3311 (Analog Electronics), Physics 3351 (Digital Electronics), Physics 3401 (Mechanics), Physics 4101 (Advanced Elec. & Mag.), Physics 4601 (Signal Processing), Physics 4701 (Relativity), Physics 4951 (Selected Topics), Physics 4990 (Honours Thesis), Educ. 5303 (General Method.), Educ. 5363 (Science Methodology), Educ. 5413 (Audiovisual Techniques), Educ. 5502 (Computer Techniques in Education), Educ. 5953 (Selected Topics) MULTIMEDIA PUBLISHING:
