The course meeting time is 10:30-11:20MWF in Dunn 406. For official detail see the University Calendar. The prerequisites for this course are Math 2111, Math 2121 and Math 2211. Office hours: by appointment.

Text

Introduction to real analysis, third edition, by Robert G. Bartle and Donald R. Sherbert. (Check Amazon, for example, for possible used copies.) We will cover Chapters 1-5. The text will likely also be used for Real Analysis II.

Test

The midterm test will be held in class on October 26, 2009.

Grades

The final grade will be based on the assignments, the mid-term test and a final examination. The weights will be approximately 20%, 20% and 60% respectively.
