Elantine minima (waterwort)

specimen collected in Blair Lake, Amherst vicinity, September 7, 1966
Note: this may be E. tiandra Schkuhr. but it is hard to tell because there are no flowers.  It was identified as E. americana which is a variety of E. tiandra according to Gleason and Cronquist but Marion Zinck gives E. minima as the Nova Scotia species of waterwort.  Obviously this identification needs more work but at the moment weight is given to Marion Zinck's information.
