These plants which were photographed on September
9, 2001 but were collected at Poison Lake, south of Wyvern, NS, on September
2, 2001;
note the leaves show the pattern of being "clustered at the base and
curve like the horns of a Texas longhorn, complete with tapering tips"
as described by Harold Hinds in the Flora of New Brunswick, second edition.
This identification was confirmed by DNA analysis by Ron Hoggard, Department
of Botany and Microbiology, University of Oklahoma, Norman, OK 73019
