MtA alumni enjoyed the Vancouver Whitecaps game with a get-together at The Pint after the game.
Surrounded by the new MtA banner, dozens of photos of the Mount
Allison of years ago, and even more photos of recent students showing
the same love and enthusiasm for their alma mater, the Vancouver
Chapter gathered for an evening of fun, food, and festivities in White
Rock, a city of 20,000 in Metro Vancouver. There were a variety of
class years present including very recent graduates and those from past

Hanomansing's ('83) presentation as the guest speaker for the event.
Ian's presentation was very much like a family member sharing his
thoughts in an informal setting. Both Ian and his wife Nancy endeared
themselves by taking time to chat and to join in the evening's
Following a traditional Maritime turkey dinner buffet,
there were prize draws for MtA items including toques, a portfolio, a
notebook and pen, and a photo book of the Sackville area.
Alumni had the opportunity to have what photos they wished
from the displays. One alumnus saw the photo of her grandparents’ house
— a pleasant surprise. The dessert buffet finished off the evening,
and plans were made for a barbecue in the summer.
A wonderful MtA evening with so many present saying the MtA influence is still being felt.
