Class letter

Dear fellow members of the Class of ’72,

2017 marks an important milestone for us – it is 45 years since we graduated from Mount Allison, and time to come together again and celebrate! As your Class of ’72 Life Executive, we encourage you to set aside the weekend of May 12, 13, 14 at our alma mater to renew friendships, celebrate, and support our University in its continuing role as a leading educational institution.

The Alumni Office has organized a great schedule of events, and there are several that we want to emphasize, as well as adding some special moments of our own on Saturday.

Please attend our Class Meeting at 10:30 a.m. in the Avard Dixon building. We will discuss an update on our Class of ’72 Bursary Project, established at our 30-year Reunion. This project provides a bursary, which is awarded on a yearly basis. We will also start brainstorming ideas for our 50-year Reunion, which promises to be a very meaningful experience. If there are any other agenda items or special class projects that you wish to suggest, please send them along to Hal Ritchie (

Be sure to attend the Alumni Luncheon starting at 11:30 a.m., during which time our class photo will be taken. A photo schedule will be made available upon our arrival.

The Alumni Office will arrange for our class to sit together at the Alumni Banquet starting at 7:00 p.m.
Make good use of the Alumni Reunion website by registering online, and finding the list of who is already planning to attend. We also encourage you to use the Alumni website to submit a short update of where you are, and what you are doing. The Alumni Office is happy to receive your updated e-mail address; please ensure that Joy Wilbur ( has yours up-to-date.

Hoping to see you in May!
Hal Ritchie, President
Jeannie (Robidoux) Lea, Vice-President
Lynn (Robertson) Caldwell, Secretary
Bob Hawkes, Treasurer
