"Class of 2009: How do you feel?!"
… about a 10 Year Reunion?!
If you are reading the above cheer and are simultaneously in disbelief of a) how clearly you can remember white shirts calling that out, surrounded by hundreds of 18-year-old strangers yelling a response, and b) how it has already been 10 years since you graduated from Mount A alongside hundreds of those 22-year old friends… then, you're not alone. Each one of your fellow 2009 grads are likely sitting at their computers (or scrolling on their phones) right now thinking the same thing. They may be on the other side of the country, they may be on the other side of the world, or they may be down the street. But I am guessing that it's been quite a while since you've seen many of them, and it's been at least 10 years since you have seen all of them. So, imagine how great it would be to catch up with them for a weekend. Back on campus. Back in residence. In Sackville.
That's why we're reaching out.
The 2009 grad class executive would like to officially invite all of you back to the Sack to celebrate our 10-year reunion on May 10-12, 2019.
We have been designated Thornton House for the weekend -- and we want to see it filled! Come and see what social media hasn't shown you about your former classmates. What are they up to? Who has changed? Who hasn't? See if things have changed in town and on campus, or is it exactly as you remember? Supposedly, Ducky's is still around, but in a new location? Bridge Street Cafe hasn't changed at all, but there's better coffee across the street? Sackville has a record shop? Is Calvin Williams grafitti still appearing in the stalls of the library bathrooms?!
The only way to find out the answer to all of these questions is to make your way there in May. So, if you haven't done it yet, mark your calendars and start making travel plans. Registration and official reunion details can be found here: http://www.mta.ca/reunion But be sure to also join our "Class of '09 Reunion" group on Facebook to start reconnecting with friends there!
We can't wait to see you!
