Chris Vogels has been the lab manager of Steve Westcott's WiLdToAdS Research Group, since 1997.
When Vogels isn't running, on a Wild Toads mission, he can usually be found sitting with his arms plunged into a glovebox in the lab.
Being Westcott's head ape keeps Chris very busy, yet he manages to find energy to play "den mother" to all the little Toads. Vogels is one of the most approachable, friendly, hard-working guys around - the department wouldn't be the same without him.
Education
Christopher M. Vogels received his BSc from Mount Allison University in 1993 and his MSc from New Mexico State University in 1996 under the supervision of Professor Michael Johnson.
Research interests
Chris' current research interests include the synthesis of novel transition metal catalysts and the biological activity of boron-containing compounds.
