Mount Allison's virtual Conferring of Degrees ― Monday, May 25, 2020
Mount Allison will be hosting a virtual Conferring of Degrees ceremony to celebrate the Class of 2020, with an in-person Convocation scheduled at a later date.
The hour-long virtual ceremony will feature remarks from Mount Allison Chancellor Lynn Loewen, President and Vice-Chancellor Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau, Class of 2020 Valedictorian Nigel Verret, and special performances of the Mi'kmaq Honour Song and the Alma Mater Song.
The Conferring of Degrees and Certificates will include: Master of Science, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Arts, Honours Certificate in Arts, Bachelor of Commerce, Bachelor of Fine Arts, Bachelor of Music, Undergraduate Certificates, and October grads.

To watch the ceremony, tune in to your preferred platform starting at 2 p.m. (ADT) on Monday, May 25. The event will be live streamed, allowing Allisonians around the world to collectively join and celebrate the Class of 2020 as they receive their degrees in absentia.
The Conferring of Degrees program (PDF) has the full order of proceedings, including the order grads will appear in the video.
Although leaving comments in real time require you to have either a Facebook or YouTube account, you will be able to watch the ceremony live on either platform without having an account.
If you join the ceremony after it begins streaming at 2 p.m. (ADT), you will view the video at its live position.
Watching the video after the live broadcast
At the end of the ceremony, a full recording of the video will be available on both Facebook and YouTube. The video will also be linked at mta.ca/convocation.
Following the virtual ceremony, the Class of 2020 will receive the traditional hand-printed diplomas, printed by Mount Allison research professor and renowned artist Thaddeus Holownia. If you have not already done so, be sure to submit your mailing address to the Registrar's Office.
