Every August, Mount Allison hosts #PreviewMtA Day for incoming students and their families. The event is designed to help shorten your “to do” list by coming to campus early for #PreviewMtA Day. This year's #PreviewMtA Day is being held on August 10th, 2018. Want to know more? Email resroom@mta.ca with any questions regarding your residence room and we'll be happy to connect with you!

#PreviewMtA Day is a full-day of information and services for new students and their families. Residences will be open for viewing, staff from the Registrar’s Office will be ready to help you with course registration questions, and Jennings Dining Hall will be open for a free lunch! First generation students are encouraged to visit First @ MtA Preview Days.

View your residence room and explore your residence! Our team will be on-site to help answer any questions you may have.

Satisfy your hunger with a sampling of our menu! Please see the important information section if you have special dietary restrictions.

1:00pm - 1:30pm - Music Information Session

Find out about joining music ensembles (bands, choirs), music elective courses and the 80+ concerts presented by the Music Department each year -- almost all of which are free for MtA students! All are welcome - non-music students are encouraged to attend!

1:30pm - Campus Tour

Join one of our campus ambassadors for a campus tour - please register in advance. You can also explore campus on your own - all of our academic buildings will be open for you to tour! You can view our campus map online.

  • Are you a first generation student? First generation students are the first generation of their families to attend post-secondary education. Mount Allison has organized two days of activities designed to familiarize new first generation students with the university and Mount Allison community. Register for First @ MtA Preview Days online!

Things to do on Preview MtA Day 

  • Pick up your Mount Allison Student ID Card and mail key (Wallace McCain Student Centre)
  • Place a "Books on Beds" order, pick up your textbooks and purchase your MtA swag (Bookstore, Wallace McCain Student Centre)
  • Learn more about the Student Union Health & Dental Insurance Plan (Student Union Office, Wallace McCain Student Centre)
