Welcome to the Mount Allison Writing Resource Centre!
Writing Resource Centre (WRC) tutors are able to help with writing in all subject areas, and with all stages of the writing process, from planning and research to drafting and final editing.
We are located in the R.P. Bell Library, room M-12. The WRC is just off the main library lobby.
In collaboration with the International Centre, the WRC offers services specific to students who speak English as an Additional Language (EAL). Please note that all shifts marked "EAL only" are reserved exclusively for students working with English as an additional language.
WRC appointments are now booked online through Moodle! Simply log on to Moodle, and scroll down to the bottom of the page until you see "Miscellaneous." Within that category, look for "Mount Allison Writing Resource Centre" (it should be near the top of the page). You can self-enroll in that 'course'. Click on today's date, and you will see a list of available appointment times.
If you have any questions about the WRC, contact Dr. Shelly Colette, Co-ordinator of Academic Support Services, at email@example.com
- Sign-up opens on Moodle each day at 8:30 a.m. It is strongly recommended that you sign up for a slot as early as possible in the morning. During high-traffic periods, appointment times can book up very quickly.
- Students may book one appointment per day.
- Students may book up to seven appointments per semester. If you think you'll need more than seven appointments in a semester, speak to the co-ordinator of academic support services (firstname.lastname@example.org) to make arrangements for supplementary support.
