Program steps and timeline

OCT. 1-DEC. 15, 2017

Send us your job posting

We’ll work with you to craft a student-friendly job ad so you’ll attract high-potential candidates suited to your organization’s needs. We’ll also discuss with you the special  success factors that make the Mount Allison internship program such a rewarding experience for everyone involved.

JAN. 2018

We’ll advertise your position

We aim to advertise all available internships at once. That enables students to identify the positions where they can make the greatest contribution.

FEB. 2, 2018

We’ll send you the applications

FEB. 9, 2018

Give us your interview list

We’ll take care of the scheduling so you can focus on the interviewing. If you need meeting space on campus, just let us know.

FEB. 12-MARCH 2, 2018

Conduct your interviews

MARCH 9, 2018

Secure your intern

Once you’ve made your choice, you’ll need to

  • Make a formal offer.
  • Get written acceptance from the student.

Our best students tend to get multiple offers, so it’s best to get yours on the table early. Please be sure to tell us your choice.

APRIL 2018

We’ll orient your intern to the world of work

Before their internship starts, all interns participate in a day-long training session, Organizations 101. And throughout the internship, they submit written reflections on their on-the-job learning.

MAY 7--AUG. 24, 2018
