Jean-Paul BoudreauGreetings from Dr. Jean-Paul Boudreau, President and Vice-Chancellor, Mount Allison University

Bienvenue! Pjila’si! Welcome to Mount Allison! We are truly a community-minded place and although everything may seem new and unfamiliar at first, I hope it won’t take very long before it feels like home. Orientation is a wonderful chance to get to know the campus and the people in it.

The Orientation Committee has put together an amazing program of activities to help you settle in and find your way around and I urge you to take advantage of the many opportunities available to you during Orientation and through the rest of the year. Have a safe and enjoyable Orientation and a fantastic first year at Mount A!

A message from Niki Mina, Orientation Chair

Niki WebHey there Mounties!  My name is Niki Mina and I am your University Orientation Chair! I am super excited to welcome you all to the Mount Allison community.

I am a fourth-year student from New Hampshire in the United States (but I am also originally from Toronto, Ontario so I am well acquainted with the Toronto area as well), studying Commerce and Psychology. This summer, I will be working alongside the Department of Student Life and the Mount Allison Students Union (MASU) to plan Orientation Week.

The first week that you spend here at Mount Allison is memorable and will be the best week that you have here; it is still my favourite week that I’ve ever had since arriving! Embarking on a new adventure can create many different emotions and feelings, and that is why we will try our best to make sure that you have the time of your life, not only for this first week but throughout all your years here at Mount Allison!

This week plays an important role in making many new friends, exploring the small and cute town of Sackville, as well as helping to make your adjustment to a new chapter in your life as easy as possible! Orientation Week includes a variety of different activities to get you better acquainted with fellow students, faculty and staff of Mount Allison, and the town of Sackville. I have put together, and am working alongside, a great team of upper year students who will make sure that you have an amazing experience during Orientation Week!

Move In Day and Orientation Week will come quickly and the Orientation Committee, Orientation Crew, and I are super excited to meet you!! Be ready to have the week of a lifetime, create many memories that will last forever, and make friends that will make your university experience a special one! Only a few more months until you are here and part of the Mountie family that we are all proud to be a part of!

If you have any questions, do not hesitate to email me at orientation@mta.ca! Have a great summer and get excited!
