She recently travelled to the Netherlands with Dr. Amanda Cockshutt to present her research at the 9th European Workshop on the Molecular Biology of Cyanobacteria. Her research uses a two-hybrid system to determine the function of a specific protein.
She was the only undergraduate student to present a poster at the conference. When she is not in the classroom or the lab, Allanach is involved in tutoring at Salem Elementary.
