The second-year student has had eight consecutive race victories, including a 23:40 minute finish in his last 8km race. This year he claimed his second consecutive ACAA men’s championship and was named to the ACAA all-conference team. Last season he was also a CCAA All-Canadian. Beninger has been running competitively since the 10th grade.
Originally from Chelsea, QC, he came to Mount Allison from Dhaka, Bangladesh after hearing about the University from a track coach who was originally from Sackville, NB.
Along with his intense training schedule, Beninger is on the Edward’s House executive and is President of the Fencing Club. He also works in the family antimatter's research group led by Dr. Khashayar Ghandi.
