The Mount Allison University Senate has approved the end of the Disciplinary B.A. Program in Anthropology, including the minor, major, and honours programs on February 12, 2019 and these programs will no longer be offered.

At its essence the study of humans, anthropology broadens students’ perspective and introduces them to new ways of viewing society and the world as a whole.

The discipline also highlights the importance of culture and the many ways it impacts our actions and interactions. This makes anthropology students particularly sensitive to cultural differences — an important and valuable skill in a world where people from diverse cultures connect on an increasingly frequent basis.
