If your department will be notifying the student, please include one of the texts in the drop down below in your letter/email to the student, explaining how any financial award(s) will be distributed to them, and how to send a thank-you note to the donors of the award.

For a Convocation award please include:
In addition to the honour of being named to this award is a monetary prize of $X,XXX. This financial award will be sent to you by e-transfer in early June via your mta.ca email account. If you do not receive it, please email financialaid@mta.ca.
You are encouraged to write a short note of thanks to the donor of this award. You can use the online thank you form found at mta.ca/saythankyou. You may include biographical information about yourself such as your program, year of study, and interests if you wish.
For an interim departmental award please include:
In addition to the honour of being named to this award is a monetary award of $X,XXX. This award will be applied to your student account within the next two weeks. In the event that this creates a credit on your account you may request these funds be sent to you by completing the online refund request form located in your Connect account. Alternatively, you may leave the funds on your account to reduce next term's tuition and fees.

- official name of award
- award GL number and additional GL number if award amount needs to be topped up
- amount to be awarded
- name, email, and student ID of each recipient
- name, email, and phone number of department contact
