Maurice Cullen

Sunken Road, Hangard spacer Maurice Cullen was born in Saint John's, Newfoundland, in 1866 and moved to Montreal in 1870. In 1918 he was commissioned in the army and sent to France as a war artist. Following the war he returned to Montreal where he continued to paint and hold one man exhibitions. He died in Quebec in 1934.
