July 20 - 24, 2020
The application deadline for the 2020 Summer Academy of Music has been extended to June 1.
We are offering this year's Academy in a virtual, remote format.
Join us from home for a week-long intensive program for dedicated pianists, singers, guitarists, composers, and string, woodwind, brass, and percussion instrumentalists, ages 14 to 19. Mount Allison’s Summer Academy of Music will include workshops, classes, private lessons, and chamber music, all offered remotely by Mount Allison Music faculty.
This year's Academy will include sessions on music theory, history, composition, new music, improvisation, performance practice, jazz, ear training, and audio-visual technology. Performers will receive three private lessons with faculty over the course of the week.
FEES: $190 (plus HST) for the full week-long program
Students who wish to participate in individual sessions (without private lessons), may do so at the cost of $20 (plus HST) per session. A detailed list of sessions will be posted here in early June.
