Graeme Patterson has developed a distinctive DIY approach to animation creating works that are playful and poignant. Often showing his animations as part of larger installations that incorporate sculptural models, sound and interactive elements, Graeme’s work intertwines memory and imagination.

His work has been exhibited nationally and internationally and is found in the collections of public galleries including The Glenbow Museum, Calgary.

Art Gallery of Nova Scotia, Halifax and the National Gallery of Canada, Ottawa. He has also been the recipient of numerous significant grants and awards.

Graeme’s work Secret Citadel: The Mountain was included in Oh Canada, a major survey of contemporary Canadian art organized by the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Arts (MASS MoCA) in North Adams, Massachusetts.

Originally from Saskatoon, Graeme Patterson currently lives and works in Sackville.
