Explore Jerry Ropson's studio
Jerry Ropson teaches painting and drawing in the Fine Arts Department at Mount Allison University in Sackville. His unconventional practice includes painting, drawing, sculpture, installation, zines, multiples, stickers, miniatures, wall works, storytelling and performance.
His work has been exhibited nationally in solo and group exhibitions as well as inserted into the everyday environment through interventions outside conventional gallery situations.
Jerry holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Memorial University, Grenfell Campus and an MFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University, Montreal. Raised in Pollard’s Point in rural Newfoundland, Jerry’s personal history and connections to Newfoundland continue to inform his practice.
